Kiki fell to the floor, gasping as she stared up at the man hovering over her. "Stop, please!" She cried out before she was backhanded once more. Tears ran down her cheeks as she now laid on the floor, covering her head from another slap. "Dad, stop it.." She whimpered as she heard footsteps get closer to her.
The footsteps stopped before her father kneeled down next to her, grabbed her by the hair and forced her to look at him. Alcohol was in his breath. He had come home drunk once again. Which meant it was going to be a long night for Kiki.
Kiki whimpered at him pulling her hair. Her dark brown eyes opened to look at him.
"You look like your mother....." He growled, slurring a little bit before he suddenly threw Kiki back onto the ground. This made her shriek as her head hit the floor a little hard. Just then she started to pray that it would be over soon, that he would stop right now.. She didn't want to go out with bruises on her tomorrow.. She wanted to normal. She hated it when her friends questioned about her marks and bruises.. Cause she never knew what to say.
She prayed and prayed and thankfully her prayers were answered tonight. Before her dad could do any more harm, he scoffed at her and walked off. He told her he was too tired to deal with her. He would see her in the morning. Which made her sigh of relief.
Kiki got up off the floor and walked quickly to her bedroom. She locked the door and placed a chair underneath the doorknob. Just in case.
Once she was in her room she felt safe. Her Dad never followed her in here. There were times where he entered the room but that was when he wasn't drunk and would kiss her on the head to say sorry.. Of course she'd forgive him, but that didn't mean she wasn't scared of him. But she was thankful he hadn't raped her or anything like other abusive stories she heard. She was lucky.
Later that night..
Kiki was sitting on her bed, reading a book of Egyptian lore. While reading a envelope suddenly fell from one of the pages, causing her to jump a little. She placed the book down and then picked it up.
"Pantheon University?" She asked herself before opening it to start reading it. She was accepted to a University she didn't apply to. Was it even real? She hadn't heard anything about it, was it new?
Before her question was answered the letter glowed, her eyes with it as memories of her life as Anput went through her head. She was a consort/wife to the Egyptian God Anubis. Her name was Anput and she was always by his side. She was the Goddess of Funerals and Mummification..
Once the memories were over, Anput gasped as she looked around the room. She then looked down at herself. She was wearing such strange clothes. Anput then got off of the bed and walked to a nearby mirror. She looked at herself and noticed her hair was a bit shorter than it use to be. She looked the same but there were small differences on her.. "Well, it could be worse.. Just wish I had my old clothes. Hopefully at Pantheon they have clothes that I would like." She muttered to herself before she heard her mortal father coughing outside her door. Her eyes narrowed as she frowned. How could she let a man like him beat her? No one was allowed to do that. Not even Anubis was allowed to touch her like that. She made certain of that.
Though the worse part of this transition was that she remembered having sex with a bunch of men.. Which meant she was unfaithful. "Crap, I need to find Anubis at Pantheon and explain it to him before someone else tells him.." She groaned to herself.
But before she would start to head to college, Anput made sure to give her mortal father a note. In the note she told him she loved him, but he needed help. If he ever wanted her to return home he would need to go to rehab. When he was better and healthy she wouild return, but only then..
And once the letter was finished and she was packed, she left the note on the fridge before throwing all of his alcohol away as well. After that she headed towards Pantheon. It was time to win this bet.
