Anubis walked through the campus. He had been there for a couple of days, but hadn't really explored it yet. He had used his powers to get him to the school. Luckily for him, there had been a picture of what the campus looked like in the acceptance letter. Traveling through the shadows had worn him out so much that he slept for long time. When he woke up, he ate and then proceeded to fall back asleep. When he was a god, he had no trouble over his powers, they never wore him out. But now, being mortal, his body grows more tired and weak. He remembered not having to worry about eating when he was a god, he could go awhile without it. Now it seemed like that's all he ever did.
He was used to it though, growing up as Khai Amer had given him a lot of growing. Even though he was now Anubis, he was still Khai... So he had conflicting emotions about sending his grandfather's killers to their deaths probably earlier than he should of...
Anubis took in a deep breath as he stepped out into the gardens. He silently wondered if Anput had gotten her letter yet and what she was currently doing. He hoped she had a good mortal life, she deserved that.
Walking around the gardens, he took in the flowers and trees. They were pretty, but not as beautiful as the flowers were back in garden of the gods. He always brought Anput flowers to her room, surprising her. He honestly wished there was a way to connect with her while they were mortal. When the were gods, he could always feel where she was.
Anubis came to the rose part of the garden and saw a young woman smelling the red roses. She seemed to be in her own thoughts, but as Anubis stared at her, he started to see Anput. His heart skipped a beat when he realized that it was her.
She was still beautiful, even as a mortal.
A smile came over his features as he walked softly behind her. Silently, he picked a rose from the bush, before moving his arm around her, presenting the rose to her face. "If I recall, the red rose was always your favorite. I see now that is still true, Anput..." he whispered in her ear from behind her.
