PREVIOUS LIFE
SEKHMET
goddess of fire/sun, war/destruction/plagues, dance, love and medicine
pantheon: Egyptian
As a sun goddess, she is connected with the scorching, searing and burning heat of the sun. It is said that her breath formed the desert.
Sekhmet is closely associated with the pharaoh and his kingship. She is believed to protect the pharaoh during war. She acquired the title “The Scarlet Lady” because of her lust for blood. In fact, celebrations and sacrifices are often offered to the goddess to appease her after the war and end the destruction.
However Sekhmet has also her healing and protective aspects: while she may bring about disease and plague to those who wrong her as the Lady of Pestilence, she is also a master of the art of medicine as she provides the cure to various ailments she may have brought to man. She was the patron goddess of all healers and physicians, her priests were known to be very skilled doctors.
Also she is associated with another feline and leonine goddess, Bastet. Sekhmet is known as Goddess of the West wearing red and Bastet is named the Goddess of the East dressed in green. Sekhmet is married to Ptah.
demi-god powers: she has feline-like skills (agility, can see in the dark, sharp nails...) thought she’s not able to fully turn herself into a lioness. She can produce heat from her hands; when angry Sekhmet can reach high temperatures, being able to sear her opponents, not on a mortal level thought but enough to send someone to the infirmary.

PERSONALITY
Her time on Earth as a demi-god didn’t change much Sekhmet’s personality: fierce, stubborn and hot-tempered, exactly as her divine counterpart.
She relies only on the actions of a person, instead of the words he speaks and rarely she’s seen losing time with useless chit-chat when instead she could already be in action. Mostly of her choices are based on her instinct and for the most driven by her endless blood-lust. Blood-lust that even as a mortal follows Sekhmet and that she feed with the fights she doesn’t miss to create or join. Anything to make her snap and there it is the fight she was looking for; obviously nothing as glorious and bloody as her past wars, but good enough to make her pass a few nights in cell.
Due to her hot-tempered nature, she is not an easy person to get friend with; however once you get to her good side, Sekhmet is one of the most loyal friend you could have.
HISTORY
Sekhmet was worshiped in all Egypt, her name was both feared and loved by mortals and she loved it. However as time passed, the Egyptian empire fall and her cult was soon replaced with others, forgotten by humankind. It took some time -and a few plagues on Earth- to accept how easily humans had forgotten her, but somehow Sekhmet managed to put her heart at rest forgiving humankind.
For centuries, she kept her look on humans: observing their lives or time to time meddling in their wars. Time passed and she was for the most in two moods: bored or excited; until she heard about Ganymede, Raven and Tu'er Shen’s argument and soon competition. A contest with such prize surely couldn’t pass unheard by Sekhmet. Without any doubt, she decided to join and so to re-born as a human child.
As a human, Sekhemt is known with the name of Ayda Hunter, daughter of an Egyptian woman and an American man. For the most, she had been living a normal life, with its ups and downs. She did cared about her parents, they were cool and not so much present into her life, often abroad for their jobs. As a child, she often got into many fights, especially with her male classmates. Her parents decided to send her to a therapist for a couple of times, just to make the teachers happy, and then just shake it off as a passing moment. Well… it wasn’t.
She grow up, changed a couple of schools, and didn’t stop to create problems wherever she went. Nights passed in cell, bruises, broken bones, reports… nothing out of the ordinary.
Then arrived the moment to move out, with the end of high school and the necessity to choose a college, even if she had no idea what to do or where to go. Until one day, she got accepted into a special university: Pantheon University. The moment Ayda received her letter, all the memories were unblocked, revealing who she was.
Now she just have to win.
